Vice-Minister Verbickas met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates

On 4 November in Vilnius, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vidmantas Verbickas, met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lithuania, Noora Mohammed Abdulhamid Juma. The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation, the geopolitical situation in the region, and possible joint initiatives to support Ukraine.

The Vice-Minister underlined the deepening bilateral relations in recent years and the Ambassador's active contribution to the development of bilateral political and economic ties. Verbickas and the UAE Ambassador also discussed trade and investment development opportunities, seaport cooperation initiatives, and the importance of additional direct flights between Vilnius and Dubai for strengthening business, tourism, and cultural exchange.

In order to continue the political dialogue and promote practical cooperation, the Vice-Minister invited to hold bilateral political consultations in 2026.

Lithuania established diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates on 16 October 1992.
