Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulates the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania on its 30th anniversary

On 17 March in Vilnius, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania celebrated its 30th anniversary, and Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Taurimas Valys congratulated the attendees on this important occasion.

When reviewing the intensive economic relations between Lithuania and Germany, the Vice-Minister underlined the significant contribution of the business community and the Chamber of Commerce to the results achieved and Lithuania's determination to further strengthen the economic partnership with Germany in such sectors as defence industry, space and digital technologies, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing.

"Thirty years represents far more than just an anniversary. This is a significant milestone and evidence of consistency, trust, and a shared vision. Over the three decades, the Chamber of Commerce has played a significant role in strengthening economic relations between Lithuania and Germany - the two nations united by shared values, innovation, and a commitment to open, rules-based trade," said Valys.

Germany is the second-largest foreign trading partner for Lithuania, the largest market for services exports, and the leading foreign investor, with investments in Lithuania currently accounting for €5.6 billion. With the start of operation in 1996, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania now is a network of more than 470 member companies in all three Baltic countries.
