Vice-Minister and newly appointed Ambassador of Germany discussed political and economic relations

Vice-Minister Neris Germanas met with newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Lithuania Jutta Schmitz and discussed political and economic relations and new bilateral initiatives.

The interlocutors also discussed complicated situation in Ukraine, international and regional security, the issues related to NATO, the European Union and energy.

Germany is one of Lithuania’s key partners in the European Union and NATO, ranking the second in the list of foreign trading partners and is the second largest investor in Lithuania.
