UKRAINIAN FOREIGN MINISTER CONGRATULATED MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF LITHUANIA ON THE OCCASION OF ITS ANNIVERSARY
On 11 November, Undersecretary of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Laimonas Talat-Kelpša received Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Ihor Prokopchuk, who presented a letter of congratulation by Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Volodimir Ohryzka to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Petras Vaitiekūnas on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Lithuanian diplomatic service.
The letter notes that during the years of independence Lithuanian Foreign Ministry played a vital role in consolidating Lithuania’s statehood and in achieving strategic objectives of foreign policy. The Ukrainian Minister also thanks for Lithuania’s support to Ukraine's aspirations regarding the Euro-Atlantic integration.
Ambassador I.Prokopchuk informed about the preparations for the Ukrainian Famine’s – Holodomor – 75th anniversary events on 22 November in Kiev and the events for the commemoration of this date that will take place in Lithuania.
