TWO NEW HONORARY CONSULS IN CANADA STARTED THEIR TENURE
On 19 June in Ottawa, Lithuania’s Ambassador to Canada Gintė Damušytė presented consular patents to new Lithuanian Honorary Consuls Nejolla Korris and Paulius Kuras. Ambassador G.Damušytė expressed hope that the skills and experience of N.Korris and P.Kuras would be useful for the development of business and science relations between Lithuania and Canada, as well as for the presentation of Lithuanian culture and for attracting new partners to Lithuania.
Honorary Consul Nejolla Korris is an experienced specialist in the spheres of strategic and financial planning and personnel management. Since 1997 she has been CEO of “The Sponsorship Group Ltd” company and has worked in the Ministry of Justice in the Province of Alberta, Canada. In 1995-1997, she was Director General of Edmonton Opera Association.
New Honorary Consul N.Korris has been assigned to represent the interests of Lithuania in the Province of Alberta, which has a population of 3.6 million.
Honorary Consul Paulius Kuras has been working for 30 years in the sphere of pharmacy. He is an experienced manager and a strategic planner. P.Kuras was a vice-president in one of the biggest Canada’s pharmacy companies “Shoppers Drug Mart”, currently he works as a franchise manager in this company. In 2007-2008, he was an elected president of the Canadian Pharmacists Association.
The new Honorary Consul has been assigned to represent the interests of Lithuania in the Province of Ontario, which has over 12 million residents.
