TRADITIONAL SNOW MEETING TO BE HELD ALREADY FOR THE SEVENTH TIME IN TRAKAI

On 9-10 January in Trakai, the traditional Snow Meeting, which is organised by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will gather various international security policymakers and experts in an informal fashion.

This year’s event will focus on the transatlantic relations between Europe and the United States and will address contemporary security challenges. Participants will debate challenges of the global security agenda next year, the upcoming NATO Summit, prospects for the Eastern Partnership programme in the aftermath of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November.

The meeting which has gained international recognition will bring together over 40 famous foreign and Lithuanian politicians, officials and experts. Romanian, Slovakian, and Swedish Foreign Ministers, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, NATO Deputy Secretary General, the EU and NATO officials, experts from think tanks and research centres, experts on foreign and security policy have plans to take part in the meeting.
