The U.S. experts to award Landsbergis for fostering transatlantic ties

The Washington-based Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), one of the most famous U.S. think tanks, nominated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius  Landsbergis, for the 2024 Transatlantic Leadership Award.

This award recognises the consistent and successful efforts of Landsbergis, Lithuania, and other Baltic states to mobilise international support for Ukraine and foster and strengthen transatlantic ties.

The award will be officially presented on 26 September 2024 in Washington, D.C. After the ceremony, Landsbergis and CEPA leaders will discuss possible joint steps to ensure Ukraine's victory.

CEPA annually honours world leaders who advocate for freedom, democratic values, and the rule of law and contribute to a robust transatlantic alliance.

Previously, CEPA presented its Transatlantic Leadership Award to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Latvia's Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins, Estonia's Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, and the U.S. Senators Mitch McConnell and Roger Wicker.
