The Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part in political consultations with Israel
On 9-10 November, Laimonas Talat-Kelpša, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, visited Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Talat-Kelpša and the Baltic Political Directors met with Yosef Amrani, Political Director of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 10 November.
The meeting discussed the situation in the Middle East, Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the EU-Israel relations, the global agenda, and issues of international organisations, bilateral political and security cooperation between Lithuania and Israel.
Within the framework of the bilateral programme, Laimonas Talat-Kelpša also visited the October 7 Memorial in Israel to mark the 2023 terrorist attack, and a Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) opened by the U.S.
