The opening of Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Olsztyn

On February 8, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Poland Eduardas Borisovas and the head of the Consulate in Seinai, Genadijus Mackelis, opened the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Olsztyn, in the center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

Businessman Stefan Duk was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania. The opening was attended by representatives of the authorities of the Warmian-Mazurian Voivodeship, regional church hierarchs, representatives of the authorities of Olsztyn and other districts and cities of the Voivodeship, and members of public organizations. Dynamit, a band founded in Olsztyn, which brings together music students from Lithuania and Poland, performed during the event. The battlefield of Grunwald is located in the Varmian-Masurian Voivodeship, where the anniversary of the joint victory of the armies of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland is commemorated every year.
