The Lithuanian State Restoration Day was celebrated in Abu Dhabi with a concert honouring M. K. Čiurlionis
On 3 February, a celebration of Lithuania's State Restoration Day was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, featuring a performance by Rokas and Sonata Zubovas, titled "Čiurlionis. In Pursuit of Soundscapes." The concert program, performed by renowned Lithuanian pianists, brought together selected works from M. K. Čiurlionis music, art, and poetry.
In his welcoming speech, Lithuanian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ramūnas Davidonis, highlighted the growing ties between Lithuania and the Emirates, as well as the significance of M. K. Čiurlionis and his artistic legacy within European culture.
"The United Arab Emirates and Lithuania are united by a strong vision for the future, ambition, and the desire to find solutions to global challenges," said Ambassador Davidonis, expressing his satisfaction with the achievements in bilateral relations. The Ambassador also emphasized that we must not forget and must support the people of Ukraine in their fight against Russia's aggression.
