THE LITHUANIAN CONSULATE HEADED BY THE LITHUANIAN HONORARY CONSUL WAS OPENED IN GEORGIA

On 10 March in Georgia, the Lithuanian Honorary Consulate, headed by Lithuanian Honorary Consul Boris Gamrekeli, was opened in Georgia. B.Gamrekeli is appointed to carry out consular functions in entire Georgia.

When congratulating the Consul and presenting him a consular patent, Chargé d’Affaires of the Lithuanian Embassy in Georgia Laimonas Talat-Kelpša expressed trust that Consulates headed by Lithuanian Honorary Consuls will gradually open doors also in other regions of Georgia in the future.

“Another helping hand, another point of reference for the people of Lithuania and, especially, for Lithuanian businessmen are really helpful,” the diplomat said.

Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Anzor Bolkvadze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Nalbandov, Members of Parliament of Georgia, and Lithuanian businessmen working in Georgia, and Lithuanian employees of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia also took part in the opening of the Honorary Consulate.

B.Gamrekeli, who is working in the sphere of business and for some time has been very actively involved in the development of the Lithuania-Georgia business relations, helps Lithuanians to find ways to enter the market of this South Caucasus country. The Lithuanian Honorary Consul has a degree in chemistry and currently works as the Director General of the company Caparol in Georgia. He has published over 30 scientific articles and made several scientific inventions.
