THE LITHUANIA-KUWAIT COOPERATION PERSPECTIVES DISCUSSED IN VILNIUS
On 28 February Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas received the new Ambassador of Kuwait to Lithuania Abdulhamid Abdulla Al Awadhi.
During the meeting bilateral relations, development of economic relations and cooperation in international organizations were discussed. The Ambassador of Kuwait was especially interested in the investment possibilities in Lithuania and perspectives of economic cooperation.
Minister of Foreign Affairs P. Vaitiekūnas acquainted the Ambassador of Kuwait with Lithuania’s input into reconstruction of Ghor Province in Afghanistan and invited Kuwait to contribute to the provincial reconstruction projects.
On 1 March the Ambassador of Kuwait to Lithuania Abdulhamid Abdulla Al Awadhi presented credentials to the President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus.
