THE HEAD OF LITHUANIAN DIPLOMACY TO TAKE PART IN THE BALTIC SEA STATES SUMMIT IN REYKJAVIK
On 8 June under Prime Minister‘s instructions Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Antanas Valionis will take part in the 6th Baltic Sea States Summit in Reykjavik.
The heads of government are to discuss the future of the Baltic Sea States regional cooperation, strategic growth, economic cooperation, energy, environment protection, promotion of democratic values, human dimension and other issues.
The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) is an overall political forum for regional intergovernmental cooperation established in 1992 in Copenhagen. The members of the Council are the 11 states of the Baltic Sea region as well as the European Commission.
