On 23-28 October, the days of co-operation between the Republic of Lithuania and Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation are to be organised in Kaliningrad Oblast.
The Lithuanian Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs Evaldas Ignatavičius, the Vice-Minister of Culture Ina Marčiulionytė, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Parliament of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas, the Director of the European Committee under the Government of Lithuania Petras Auštrevičius, the Director of the Deparment of National minorities and Emigration Remigijus Matuzas, the Mayor of Vilnius Artūras Zuokas, the Director of the Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences in Vilnius University Raimondas Lopata and other Lithuanian representatives are to take part in the meetings. Kaliningrad will be represented by the Governor of the Region Vladimir Yegorov, other Vice-Governors, the representatives from the Oblast Duma Administration, City Municipality as well as by businessmen.
The days are to be a part of the project envisaged in the Agreement of Co-operation signed between the Republic of Lithuania and Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation in 1999.
