The Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Kaliningrad organized an exhibition of M. K. Čiurlionis' works and a drawing competition

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Kaliningrad organized an exhibition presenting the personality of M.K. Čiurlionis and his most famous works of art, highlighting the impressive creative legacy of this great artist and inviting the public of this region to learn more about the life and work of M.K. Čiurlionis. The exhibition of 3D reproductions are displayed on the fence surrounding the Consulate.

Reproductions of M.K. Čiurlionis' paintings are also on display inside the Consulate. This exhibition is intended for the Lithuanian diaspora, children and young people attending the Lithuanian school and the "Playroom" established by the Consulate.

The Consulate is also organizing a drawing competition "How I know Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis" inviting children and young people from the community to contribute to the commemoration of the anniversary of M.K. Čiurlionis' birth and to creatively reveal the uniqueness of the famous artist's work and personality. The exhibition of drawings is planned to be held in September, and the authors of the best works will be awarded.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Kaliningrad, which has previously organized outdoor exhibitions on the 700th anniversary of Vilnius and the old town of Kėdainiai, plans to continue commemorating memorable events in Lithuanian history and famous Lithuanian creators, inviting the local community to learn about Lithuanian history and achievements.
