Strengthening of economic relations discussed with new Ambassador of the Netherlands

Vice-Minister Neris Germanas met with newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Gijsbert Hendrik Christiaan van der Lingen on September 9 and discussed bilateral cooperation and prospects to intensify economic relations, in particular in trade and energy.

The issues of NATO and regional security, the situation in Ukraine and the investigation of the Malaysian plane catastrophe in Eastern Ukraine were discussed in the meeting.

The Netherlands is Lithuania’s important economic partner, ranking the eighth in the list of Lithuania’s export partners and is the fourth largest investor in Lithuania.
