STRENGTHENING COOPERATION BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND JORDAN

On 21-22 February a delegation led by the Director of Foreign Ministry’s Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania Department Ambassador Jonas Paslauskas discussed perspectives of bilateral cooperation with representatives of the Parliament and Government of Jordan in Amman.

In the meetings with Jordanian Parliament Speaker Abdul Hadi Al Majali, Foreign Minister Abdel Illah Al Khatib, Minister of  Internal Affairs Ead Al Faiz, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Mohammed Abu Hdeib and Jordanian businessmen the actions the sides intend to take to strengthen bilateral institutional cooperation were discussed.

Possibilities to promote business ties with Jordan and other countries of the region were also discussed; opinions on topical issues of international politics, security matters and culture dialogue were exchanged.
