STRATEGIC LITHUANIAN-POLISH PARTNERSHIP TAKES PRACTICAL FORM
On 27 March Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas and Chairman of Poland's Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Pavel Zalewski discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation and common energy and infrastructure projects.
They also exchanged opinions on cooperation within the European Union and discussed Eastern neighbourhood relations.
During the meeting the Head of Lithuanian diplomacy indicated that strategic Lithuanian-Polish partnership was taking practical form.
According to the Chairman of Poland's Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee the previous year was of special importance to the relations of Lithuania and Poland, because implementation of strategic energy projects significant not only for both countries, but also for the whole region had been started or finished.
The representatives of Lithuania and Poland expressed hope for the countries to continue implementing common significant projects and goals in the future.
