STATEMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF LITHUANIA

Lithuania supports the position of the French EU Presidency regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip and expresses concern regarding the violence and civilian victims in the Gaza Strip and in Israel’s South.

We are convinced that the solution of the problem is possible only when political and diplomatic means are applied.

We are urging both sides in the conflict to cut the violence immediately and to guarantee provision of emergency humanitarian aid to the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.
