On 20 June Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs State Secretary Algimantas Rimkūnas held an informal meeting with the State Secretary of Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Normans Penke and discussed the results of the 15-16 June European Council and topicalities of bilateral Lithuanian-Latvian relations.
State Secretaries of Lithuanian and Latvian Foreign Ministries addressed the prospects of energy sector in the Baltic Sea region, economic cooperation, bilateral agreements under preparation.
The diplomats exchanged opinions on Lithuanian and Latvian diplomatic service, shared its administration experience.
