On 22 April in Moscow, urgent issues of bilateral relations were discussed in the session of the Lithuanian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral commercial, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.
Chair of the Lithuanian part, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis headed the Lithuanian delegation in the Commission and Russian Transport Minister Sergey Frank was in the lead of the Russian part.
During his stay in Moscow on 23 April, Antanas Valionis is due to meet his Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov. The Lithuanian and Russian Foreign Ministers are to discuss the prospects of relations between the European Union and Russia in the light of the approaching Summit of the EU and Russian leaders, in which Lithuanian President Rolandas Paksas also plans to participate.
On Tuesday evening Antanas Valionis opened the Vilnius Days that are currently going on in Moscow.
