RUSSIAN STATE DUMA TO RATIFY LITHUANIAN-RUSSIAN AGREEMENT ON THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION

On 6 April the State Duma of Russian Federation ratified Lithuanian-Russian Governments’ agreement on the avoidance of double taxation of income and capital and fiscal violations.
337 members of the State Duma voted for the ratification of the agreement.According to Russian laws, international treaty ratification process will be accomplished when the agreement is approved by the upper chamber of the Russian parliament the Council of Federation and signed by the President of Russia.The agreement was signed in summer 1999 in Moscow.The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania ratified this agreement on 29 June 2000.
