REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MINISTRIES OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF LITHUANIAN AND CYPRUS DISCUSSED IMPORTANT ISSUES ON THE EUROPEAN UNION AGENDA
On 20 March in Vilnius, Undersecretary of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Žygimantas Pavilionis met with Director of Politics of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Euripides Evriviades.
During the meeting Kosovo, the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon, relations between the European Union and Russia, the European Security and Defence Policy, the European Neighbourhood in the East and other important issues on the European Union agenda were discussed.
E.Evriviades exhaustively informed Ž.Pavilionis about the especially significant for the entire country issue of unification of Cyprus and stressed the need for a sustainable resolution of the problem.
