Public support for Lithuania's membership in the EU grew by almost 5 % in July, a poll conducted by the Vilmorus public opinion and market research centre has shown.
According to the survey, the state's membership in the EU was supported by 75.7 % of respondents in July, up from 71.2 % in June. Some 14.1 % of those polled were against EU membership (1 % less than last month) and 10.2 % of respondents were undecided on the matter.
According to surveys of public opinion, during the entire period from the referendum on EU entry in May last year, the state's membership in the organisation has been supported by not less than 70 % of the Lithuanian population.
