PROTOCOL ON THE NEW LITHUANIAN-RUSSIAN STATE BORDER CROSSING POSTS SIGNED IN MOSCOW

On 15 March, a protocol was signed in Moscow, complementing the 1995 agreement between Lithuania and Russia concerning the crossing posts of the state border with the new border crossing post in Rambynas (Lithuania) – Dubki (a village located in the Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation).

The new border crossing post will be opened when a new bridge across the Nemunas River will be built between Panemunė and Tilsit (Sovetsk). Officials hope to open the new bridge by the end of 2014.
