POSSIBILITIES TO ATTRACT INVESTMENT TO LITHUANIA WERE DISCUSSED DURING A MEETING WITH BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES

On 14 January, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas met with the administration of the U.S. company Strategic Staffing Solutions International, a provider of information technology consulting services and staffing solutions. Together with Cynthia Pasky, the president of the company, and and Jeff Nelson, the vice-president, the Minister discussed possibilities of attracting investors to Lithuania.

Special attention was dedicated to possible means of renewing a network of American business, which is interested in Lithuania, and to spreading a word about investment possibilities in Lithuania for companies from Ireland and the U.K., also to encouraging Scandinavian countries to invest in Lithuania.

“The success of many international companies in Lithuania shows the potential of our country. We have to spread this message among business communities in many countries,” said V.Ušackas.

The president of Strategic Staffing Solutions was glad that she could name her own company as an example for others as this company has a record of successful 10 year-long investment and prosperous business in Vilnius. In the opinion of C.Pasky, having heard more about Lithuania, other leaders of international business would make long-term investments in our country as well.

Minister V.Ušackas invited the president of the Strategic Staffing Solutions company to present the experience of the company’s activities in Lithuania during the upcoming The World Lithuanians’ Economic Forum on 2-3 July 2009 in Vilnius.
