POSSIBILITIES FOR THE NORTHERN DIMENSION ENVIRONMENTAL PARTNERSHIP ARE PRESENTED AT THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
On October 31, Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised a presentation of possibilities for the Northern Dimension Environmental Partnership (NDEP) to Lithuanian institutions.
NDEP Director, representative of the office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in St. Petersburg Jaakko Henttonen, who is paying a visit to Lithuania, met with representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Lithuanian State Nuclear Safety Inspectorate, Radiation Protection Centre and Environmental Protection Agency, and acquainted them with the activities of the NDEP, the programme, various projects and their benefits for Lithuania.
NDEP has two types of priority projects: 1) environmental projects (wastewater treatment, waste management, energy efficiency) and nuclear safety projects (the management of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste).
