Political Director met with representatives from the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah

On 10-11 November, Laimonas Talat-Kelpša, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, visited Jerusalem and Ramallah.

Talat-Kelpša met with Dr. Estephan Salameh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Finance of Palestine; Dr. Omar Awadallah, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine; Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem; and Karin Limdal, Head of the EU Police Mission EUPOL COPPS.

The meetings focused on the situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the situation in the Middle East region, and Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The Political Director affirmed Lithuania's support for reforms and the implementation of the two-state solution.
