OSCE CHAIRPERSON TO TRAVEL TO TAJIKISTAN

VILNIUS, 13 May 2011 – The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, will travel to Tajikistan next week to discuss how the Organization best can support the country.

Ažubalis will meet officials including President Emomali Rahmon, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and Shukurjon Zukhurov, the speaker of the lower house of Parliament. The agenda for the 16-17 May visit also includes meetings with representatives of political parties and civil society.
