OSCE CHAIRPERSON SAYS ATTACKS ON INTERNATIONAL PEACEKEEPERS ARE UNACCEPTABLE

VILNIUS, 28 September 2011 - The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, today condemned attacks on KFOR soldiers in northern Kosovo.

“Any attacks on international peacekeepers are unacceptable and nothing justifies violence. I wish all those injured a speedy recovery,” said Ažubalis. “There must be a return to peaceful dialogue and full co-operation with KFOR and EULEX. Outstanding issues should be resolved in a calm and responsible manner through the EU-led dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and not through violence.”
