NEW MFA UNDERSECRETARY APPOINTED

As of 20 September, career diplomat Dalius Čekuolis was appointed Undersecretary of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Dalius Čekuolis, 45, was Lithuania’s Ambassador to Denmark in 1990-1994, Ambassador to Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and Lithuania’s representative in the Western European Union and the North Atlantic Cooperation Council of NATO in 1994-1998. In 1998-1999, Čekuolis headed the Committee of Senior Officials of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) and was in charge of Lithuania’s presidency over the CBSS. In 1999-2004, Dalius Čekuolis worked as Lithuania’s Ambassador in Portugal.
