NEW LITHUANIAN HONORARY CONSUL TAKES OFFICE IN JORDAN
On 19 February a Consulate headed by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania Ahmed Helmi Monibo Armoush was opened in Jordan. Lithuanian Ambassador to Egypt Dainius Ginutis Voveris handed consular patent to the new Lithuanian Honorary Consul Mr Armoush.
During the event organized on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of the State of Lithuania Lithuanian music was played and documentary films about Lithuania were shown. Among numerous guests Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Salem Khazaaleh, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Osama Dabbas, members of parliament and foreign diplomats accredited to Jordan were welcomed.
Mr Armoush is a businessman working in the maritime sector. The appointed Honorary Consul will work in Amman, consular district of Jordan.
