The Lithuanian Foreign Policy Research Centre, together with the ‘Vaga’ publishing house, has published the sixth issue of the journal ‘Lithuanian Foreign Policy Review’. The journal is published with the assistance and support from the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry and Vilnius University's International Relations and Political Science Institute. The sixth issue is dedicated to Russian-Lithuanian relations and the tenth anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The authors of the articles in the issue are Lithuanian and foreign politicians and political scientists. Former Lithuanian President Algirdas Brazauskas, members of parliament Vytautas Landsbergis and Kazimiera Prunskienė, Lithuanian Vice-minister of Economy Gediminas Miškinis, Lithuanian Ambassador to the US Vygaudas Ušackas, Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Avdeev, Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vladimir Lukin, Chairman of the Kaliningrad regional Duma Vladimir Nikitin, well-known Russian political scientists Dmitri Trenin, Arkady Moshes, Genady Kretinin, Vladimir Pozdorovkin and others will share their views on the realities of relations between Lithuania and Russia in the issue.
Foreign policy analysts, diplomats and politicians abroad met the first five issues of the magazine, which has been published since July 1998, with great interest.
The editorial board of the journal (Dr Vytautas Žalys, Dr Raimundas Lopata, Dr Česlovas Laurinavičius, etc.) thank the diplomatic staff at the Russian embassy in Vilnius for successful cooperation in preparing the recent issue of the ‘Lithuanian Foreign Policy Review’.
