NEW HONORARY CONSUL APPOINTED IN BELGIUM
On 30 October at the Lithuanian Embassy to Belgium an exequatur was presented to Baron Jean Jacques Haus, the newly appointed Lithuanian Honorary Consul in the city of Ghent.
J.J.Haus is appointed to exercise consular functions in the consular district of the East and the West Flanders.
During the ceremony, the Honorary Consul emphasized that he was especially grateful to Lithuania for the honour that had been given to him. J.J.Haus expressed his determination to use various tools in order to develop better mutual knowledge between the people of Lithuania and Belgium.
Lithuanian ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Nijolė Žambaitė expressed conviction that the newly opened Consulate, headed by Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Ghent, will enrich the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Belgium. The Consulate will become a reliable bridge for the development of bilateral economic and cultural relations.
