New European partnerships through Global Gateway and Team Europe

The ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the European Commission organises a seminar “New European Partnerships through Global Gateway and Team Europe”, which will take place on the 4th April, 2023.

This event will be devoted to the renewed EU development policy based on Global Europe Instrument (NDICI-GE), European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus (EFSD+) and Team Europe partnership approach. The seminar will present the ways and instruments for engagement of the EU Member States and their private sector in Global Gateway and Team Europe Initiatives (TEI).

In the context of the war in Ukraine, special attention will be paid to the joint European activities under Economic and Investment Plan (EIP) in the Eastern Partnership and the process of reconstruction of Ukraine.

The experts of the European institutions as well as European development banks will present the latest trends of European development policy and its tools.

Global Gateway is the new European strategy to boost smart, clean and secure links in digital, energy and transport sectors and to strengthen health, education and research systems across the world.

The EU is stepping up its offer to its partners with major investments in infrastructure development around the world. The Global Gateway will deliver sustainable and high-quality projects, taking into account the needs of partner countries and ensuring lasting benefits for local communities. This will allow our partner countries to develop their societies and economies, but also create opportunities for the EU Member States’ private sector to invest and remain competitive, whilst ensuring the highest environmental and labour standards, as well as sound financial management.

Detailed agenda and more information on this event could be accessed at the web page of Lithuanian development cooperation.
