NATO SECRETARY GENERAL TO VISIT LITHUANIA

On 18-19 January, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen pays an official visit to Lithuania.During the visit he is meeting with the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, Chairman of the Seimas Irena Degutienė, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis and Minister of National Defense Rasa Juknevičienė.

At the meetings preparations for the NATO Summit in Chicago and other security and defense issues important for Lithuania will be discussed.

A.F.Rasmussen planned to visit the Baltic States in November 2011, but the visit was postponed due to sudden health problems of the NATO leader.

Last time NATO Secretary General visited Lithuania in October 2009.
