NATO-RUSSIA RALLY ENDS IN KALININGRAD

On 26 May a series of public events “NATO-Russia Rally 2006: What binds us together” that took place in nine Russian cities ended in Kaliningrad.

The Rally was an information campaign organized by the Public Diplomacy Division of the NATO HQ. A variety of seminars, conferences, exhibitions, debates and cultural events were organised in different locations.

Active participation of NATO Members should have shown that the Alliance is a community of states sustaining bilateral relations with Russia and able to cherish stronger multilateral cooperation.

During a conference “NATO-Russia Council: trust through political dialogue” organized in Kaliningrad public information about NATO and NATO-Russia Council was discussed.

Ambassador of Lithuania to NATO Linas Linkevičius, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean Fournet, Ambassador of Denmark to the Russian Federation Per Carlsen, NATO Information Office Director Isabelle Francois, political scientists, journalists, experts took part in the event.
