NATO DELEGATION WEIGHS POSSIBILITIES TO HOLD MINISTERIAL MEETING IN VILNIUS

NATO delegation visited Vilnius on 26-29 July to evaluate possibilities of organising an informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Alliance in the Lithuanian Capital in April 2005. The Delegation was led by NATO Director of the IS Ministerial Task Force dr. Bernd A. Götze.
According to Director of Security Policy Department Kęstutis Jankauskas, Lithuanian's proposal to hold such an event in Vilnius was positively and favourably met n Brussels. During the visit, the experts from NATO acquainted themselves with practical capabilities to hold a ministerial meeting of this scale in Vilnius and evaluated its other organisation aspects.
