N.Germanas meets with Mexican Ambassador, discusses possibilities of promoting economic cooperation
On 23 July in Vilnius, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with the Ambassador of Mexico to Lithuania Agustín Gasca Pliego. The meeting focused on the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Mexico as well as possibilities of promoting economic cooperation.
The Foreign Vice-Minister and the Ambassador agreed that the bilateral political consultations in November 2014 in Vilnius would be an important step towards strengthening ties between the two countries.
When speaking about the improvement in bilateral relations, N.Germanas underlined that it was necessary to accelerate the signing process for the extradition treaty.
The Foreign Vice-Minister also told the Ambassador about activities of the Lithuanian community in Mexico, which are actively facilitated by the Honorary Consul of Lithuania to Mexico Ronen Waisser Landau.
On the same day, Mexico’s Ambassador presented his letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė. Agustín Gasca Pliego, who resides in Stockholm, is the 7th Ambassador of Mexico to Lithuania.
