N.Germanas meets with Iranian Ambassador, discusses bilateral dialogue and situation in the Middle East

On 23 July in Vilnius, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with the Ambassador of Iran to Lithuania Ramin Mehmanparast Nodehi, discussed prospects for bilateral political dialogue, economic and cultural relations, and the situation in the Middle East.

N.Germanas called for closer cooperation aimed to promote mutual understanding between Lithuanian and Iranian general societies and to develop cultural and scientific relations. The Foreign Vice-Minister stressed that Lithuania was ready to strengthen bilateral relations in different areas, such as trade, business, etc.

The Iranian Ambassador, who resides in Warsaw, presented his letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė on 23 July. Ramin Mehmanparast Nodehi is a career diplomat, who has worked for the Iranian Foreign Ministry in recent years, represented Iran in Kazakhstan and Thailand.
