Minister with newly appointed Norwegian Ambassador discussed bilateral relations and international agenda

Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius met with newly appointed Norwegian Ambassador to Lithuania Dag Malmer Halvorsen in Vilnius on September 9 and discussed bilateral issues, as well as international agenda.

Minister underlined the importance of bilateral cooperation with Norway and informed the Ambassador about his working visit to Oslo on 16 September.

L.Linkevičius noted that Norway is very important trading partner and investor, and that both countries cooperate successfully in implementing the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Klaipėda.

Minister thanked Norway for participating in the air-police mission in Lithuania and urged the Ambassador to jointly strive for a smooth implementation of the decisions of NATO Summit in Wales.
