Re-opening of the Honorary Consulate in Bogota as well as an increasing number of visits had substantially contributed to the mutually beneficial cooperation.

The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy noted Lithuania's support to Colombian government in its efforts to re-establish peace and security in the country.  Lithuania made a voluntary contribution to the EU Trust Fund last year aimed at the implementation of Colombia's  peace agreement. Another contribution is planned for this year.
