Minister Budrys: there is potential to expand economic cooperation with Costa Rica
On 4 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with Manuel Tovar Rivera, Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica, on the sidelines of the OECD Ministerial Council meeting. Budrys and Tovar discussed bilateral relations and opportunities further to strengthen economic cooperation between Lithuania and Costa Rica.
"Bilateral relations between Lithuania and Costa Rica are intensifying. There is a lot of potential to expand cooperation in fintech, IT, cybersecurity, and life sciences. We thank Costa Rica for its strong and principled position in condemning Russia's crime of aggression against Ukraine", said the Minister.
Budrys invited Tovar to come to Vilnius for political consultations and extended an invitation to Costa Rican companies and scientists to participate in the region's largest biennial life sciences conference - Life Sciences Baltics 2025.
