Minister Budrys: Pope Francis' message of hope inspires us today to seek the truth and peace in Ukraine

On 24 April at the Apostolic Nunciature, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, signed the Book of Condolences on the passing of Pope Francis.

“Lithuania has lost a dear friend who, with his attentive gaze, followed the path of development of our state, preached the message of mercy and called for communion of all people. Pope Francis sincerely cared about the path of freedom of our nation and, even more importantly, about the future of our country,” noted Budrys.

According to the head of Lithuania's diplomacy, having hope is the main message of Pope Francis, which today inspires and guides us as we strive for truth and peace in Ukraine.
