In Kyiv, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kęstutis Budrys, met with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the Minister, Russia understands only the language of force, thus, to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire, it is necessary to continue imposing and tightening sanctions against Russia and applying other measures of international pressure.
“Only peace based on respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders will be just and sustainable. Lithuania will support all international initiatives and coalitions to strengthen Ukraine,” Budrys said.
The meeting also discussed military support, investments in the defence industry, and the implementation of critical reforms needed for Ukraine's accession to the European Union before 2030.
