Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis states that since the beginning of his political career, he has always spoken for historical justice with respect to the Lithuanian nation that had suffered the occupation and to all the other nations, which had suffered atrocities under the Communist and Nazi totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, including the Jewish nation.

The Foreign Minister has always supported, supports, and will support the restoration of historical justice, and, specifically, the suggestions by the Government of Lithuania regarding the restitution to the Jewish community of its property seized by the occupying regimes.

Foreign Minister A.Ažubalis notes that the news reports published on 14 October with the Minister’s claims that allegedly a certain national group was interested to change the Law on Citizenship is based on hearsay, and the public opinion poll conducted by the news portal that interprets the hearsay is misleading and incorrect.
