MFA STATEMENT

In regard to information on Lithuanian citizens detained during an antiterrorist operation in the United Kingdom which appeared in foreign and Lithuanian media,

the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania states that according to the State Border Guard Service, no Lithuanian citizens have been deported to Lithuania from the United Kingdom since 11 August this year.

The Lithuanian Embassy to the United Kingdom has contacted the local police, which confirmed that recently no Lithuanian citizens had been arrested, who could be suspected of terrorist activities.
