MFA AIMS TO ADD PERSECUTORS OF BELARUSIA’S HUMAN RIGHTS CENTER AND ITS LEADERS TO THE LIST OF PERSONS DECLARED PERSONA NON GRATA IN LITHUANIA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs initiated the inclusion of Belarusian officials, associated with the persecution of the Belarusian Human Rights Centre Viasna and its leaders into the national list of persons declared persona non grata in Lithuania.

To this end, on 14 September, the Ministry sent a request to the Migration Department under the Ministry of the Interior to begin the process of inclusion of names of eighteen officers in the list.

These persons are associated with the persecution of the Belarusian Human Rights Centre Viasna and its leaders.

Lithuania also encourages other member states of the European Union to consider a possibility of adding these Belarusian officials to their national lists of persons declared persona non grata in their countries.
