MEXICO PRESENTS LITHUANIA WITH A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF ARCHEOLOGICAL FINDINGS
On 11 May, Undersecretary of Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė met with Mexico’s Ambassador to Lithuania Norma Pensado.
During the meeting, A.Skaisgirytė Liauškienė discussed the relations between Lithuania and Mexico, the consistently increasing economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry expressed gratitude to Mexico’s Government and Mexico’s National Museum of Anthropology for the collection of ancient Mexican archaeological findings (museum copies) that were given as a present the Vilnius University and will be permanently exhibited in the premises of International Business School.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs A. Skaisgirytė Liauškienė took part at today's official opening of the exhibition and delivered a welcome speech.
"I hope that the fragments of ancient cultures of Mexico will help us to better understand the modern Mexico and its people. A more intensive cultural dialogue will strengthen relations between Lithuania and Mexico", said Undersecretary of the Ministry A. Skaisgirytė Liauškienė.
Today the Mexican classroom was opened in the Vilnius University International Business School. The events and seminars, offering the possibility to know Mexican culture, business and investment possibilities in that country, were also held.
The events were organized by the Mexican Embassy in Sweden, in collaboration with Mexico's Honorary Consul in Lithuania Julius Niedvaras and Mexico’s Investment Promotion Agency ProMexico.
