LITHUANIA’S MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES THE WINNER OF THE QUIZ ABOUT LITHUANIA
On 16 November Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the winner of the quiz about Lithuania. The winner of the man prize is 23-years-old student Vera Illugadóttir from Iceland.
V. Illugadóttir has won a five-day trip to Lithuania for two people. In Lithuania she will visit Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, also Trakai, the ancient capital city of Lithuania, wellness resort of Druskininkai, the Baltic seaside and the Curonian Spit.
Ten more participants from Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and USA won souvenirs.
The winners have been chosen by a lucky draw out of 212 participants, who answered all questions of the quiz correctly. Over 3400 people from 84 states showed interest in the quiz. The participants could take part in the quiz from 6 October until 12 November. The quiz consisted of 25 multiple-choice questions that cover the Lithuanian history, culture, traditions, nature and politics. The quiz was meant for non-Lithuanian citizens only.
Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is grateful to all the participants of the quiz, who took interest in the Lithuanian history, culture and politics, and congratulates the winners.
